Context Menu Reference

Complete reference for every right-click context menu action available in Project Mode. Actions are grouped by the element you right-click on.

Components

Right-click on a component node to access these actions.

Action Icon Description
Change Category submenu category Switch component type. Connector option includes shape submenu (rectangular, circular, D-sub, etc.).
Set Color submenu Assign a color badge behind the component icon. Pick from the palette or click None to remove. Useful for visually grouping by subsystem, voltage level, or function. Also available in multi-selection.
Mating Behavior submenu settings_input_component Set mating rules: Default (from shape), Receptacle, Pin, etc.
Assign Part from BOM submenu inventory_2 Assign a BOM connector part to this component. Lists available parts with MPN and manufacturer. Shown when BOM has connector entries.
Bulk Connect link Connect all pins to a target component by position (pin 1 to pin 1, etc.). Requires pins configured on both components.
Add Bundle to... add_link Draw a new bundle from this component to another node. Layout mode only.
Mate submenu mate Contains: Bulk Mate (multi-pin mating), Add Mate... (select connector and pin), and existing mates list with remove option.
Align Mated Connectors align-to-pins Align connectors mated to this terminal point so their pins line up. Shown for terminal points with mates.
Rotate 90° rotate_90_degrees_cw Rotate the connector 90°. In the schematic view this cycles the vertical wire-entry orientation (horizontal → top → bottom); in the layout view it rotates the graphic through 0/90/180/270°. Also bound to the R key. Rotating a terminal block also rotates the terminations mated to it.
Reset Label Positions restart_alt Reset the dragged positions of this connector's own conductor labels back to their defaults. Schematic mode only.
Device Group submenu workspaces Contains: Add to Group / Create New Group / Remove from Group / Select Device Group (shown contextually)
Visual Group submenu crop_free Contains: Add to Visual Group (select existing) / Create Visual Group
Topology submenu account_tree Contains: Convert to Branch Point (convert component to routing junction, removes pins). Not available for flying leads.
Set Size submenu aspect_ratio Contains: Set All Components to This Size, Set All [Category] to This Size, Set All [Shape] Connectors to This Size. Shown when component has a custom size.
Fit to Content submenu fit_screen Auto-size component to fit its pins. Submenu includes: Fit to Content, Fit All [Category] to Content, Fit All [Shape] Connectors to Content, Fit All Components to Content.
Pages submenu article Toggle page assignment, move to page, or remove from current page. Shown when plan has multiple pages.
Show / Hide Empty [Pins] visibility_off Collapse or reveal unconnected pin rows on this component. Schematic mode, components with pins. (Label reflects the component's pin terminology.)
Copy Pin Table content_copy Copy pin table to clipboard as TSV (for pasting into Excel). Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+C
Paste Pin Data content_paste Paste tabular pin data from the clipboard onto this component's pins. Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+V
Add connection table table_rows Drop a connection-table note pre-filled from this component's connections. Components with pins.
Create Assembly cable Package this component (and its connections) as a reusable cable assembly. Shown when it can be assembled.
Save Subassembly to Library... save_alt Save this component as a reusable subassembly template in the library.
Save Subassembly to File... sd_storage Export this component as a subassembly file. Desktop app only.
Select Entire Assembly select_all Select every element of the cable assembly this component belongs to. Shown for assembly-locked components.
Detach from Assembly link_off Remove this component from its cable assembly so it can be edited independently. Shown for assembly-locked components.
Delete Entire Assembly delete_sweep Delete the whole cable assembly this component belongs to. Shown for assembly-locked components.
Duplicate... content_copy Create multiple copies of this component. Opens a count prompt with an option to preserve or auto-renumber designators. All copies are created as a single undo entry.
Delete delete Remove component from the plan. All connected bundles are also deleted, cascading to their conductors, wire groups, cable assignments, and splices.

Branch Points

Right-click on a branch point to access these actions. Topology operations are grouped in the Topology submenu.

Action Icon Description
Topology submenu account_tree Contains: Join Bundles (remove BP, merge connected bundles), Merge Branch Points (absorb another BP into this one), Move to Bundle (reposition BP onto a different bundle), Convert to Component (promote to full component with pins). See Bundle Operations for details.
Add Bundle to... add_link Draw a new bundle from this branch point to another node. Layout mode only.
Visual Group submenu crop_free Add to an existing visual group, or create a new one.
Pages submenu article Toggle page assignment, move to page, or remove from current page. Shown when plan has multiple pages.
Reset Label Positions restart_alt Reset label sides and offsets for conductors through this branch point. Schematic mode only.
Delete delete Remove branch point and all connected bundles. Conductors, wire groups, cable assignments, and splices on those bundles are cascaded — any splice left with fewer than two conductors is automatically deleted.

Flying Leads

Right-click on a flying lead to access these actions. A flying lead is a component, so it also offers most component actions — Set Color, Rotate 90°, Add Bundle to…, Device Group, Visual Group, Set Size, Fit to Content, Save Subassembly, Duplicate…, and Reset Label Positions — but not the connector-only ones (Mating Behavior, Mate, Assign Part from BOM). The flying-lead-specific actions are:

Bundles

Right-click on a bundle to access these actions.

Action Icon Description
Cross Section donut_large View bundle cross-section showing conductor layout
Set Color submenu Assign a custom sheath color to this bundle. Pick from the palette or clear to return to the default gray. Layout mode only. Also available across a multi-selection of bundles. A selected bundle keeps its color and shows an animated dashed outline so the selection stays visible.
Topology submenu account_tree Bundle topology operations. Contains:
  • Insert Branch Point — split this bundle at the midpoint, creating a new branch point; all conductors pass through it automatically.
  • Reroute Conductors… — move conductors to an alternative physical route between their endpoints. Shown when an alternative route exists.
  • Join with… — merge this bundle with an adjacent bundle through a shared branch point. Only when the branch point has no splices. See Bundle Operations.
  • Consolidate Bundles — consolidate the selected bundles into a trunk. Requires 2+ selected bundles.
  • Merge into selected path — absorb this bundle into a selected trunk, auto-creating stub bundles. Requires a trunk chain plus its terminal branch points to be selected.
  • Redirect… — change the source or target endpoint. When the bundle carries conductors, choose Delete remaining (discard segments beyond the redirect) or Keep as new conductors (preserve leftover segments).
Waypoints submenu edit_road Contains: Edit Waypoints (add/move control points for Bezier curves), Clear Waypoints (remove all waypoints), Reset to Default (restore default path routing). Layout mode only.
Display submenu tune Per-bundle display overrides — Labels, Bundles, and Conductors toggles, plus Reset to Global. Layout mode only.
Pages submenu article Toggle page assignment or move to page. Shown when plan has multiple pages.
Delete Link delete Remove this bundle and all of its conductors. Connected pins are disconnected. Associated wire groups, cable assignments, and conductor splices are also cleaned up — any splice left with fewer than two conductors is automatically deleted.

Conductors — Schematic Mode

Right-click on an individual conductor path in Schematic Mode to access these actions.

Action Icon Description
Copy Properties content_copy Copy this conductor's properties (gauge, color, stripe, etc.) to the clipboard.
Paste Properties content_paste Apply previously copied conductor properties to this conductor. Shown when conductor properties are on the clipboard.
Apply Signal Defaults auto_fix_high Apply the conductor's signal default gauge, color, stripe, and voltage. Shown when its signal has defaults.
Disconnect from [Pin] link_off Remove the conductor's connection to one endpoint. One entry per connected end (source / target), each labelled with that pin.
Disconnect Both Endpoints link_off Remove the conductor from both endpoint pins at once.
Reroute via... submenu alt_route Change which bundles this conductor travels through between its endpoints. Lists all valid paths with the current path checked. Only appears when two or more routes exist between the conductor's endpoints.
Reset Trunk Positions restart_alt Reset this conductor's trunk handle positions to the default layout. Schematic, wire display.
Reset Label Position restart_alt Reset this conductor's dragged label back to its default side and offset. Schematic, label display.
Show as Label / Show as Wire label Toggle between full wire path and stub + destination label rendering. Label mode replaces long conductor paths with short stubs and boxed endpoint labels. Schematic mode only. See Connection Labels.
Terminate Drain Wire submenu shield Terminate a shield/drain conductor at its unpinned end. Options: Connect to Pin…, Ring Terminal, Ferrule, Quick Disconnect, Flying Lead. Shown for a shield conductor with an unpinned endpoint.
Twist with... gesture Start creating a twisted pair: after clicking, pick another conductor on the same bundle to twist with. (Not a submenu — it enters a pick mode.) See Wire Groups & Cables.
Show in Nets Panel device_hub Reveal this conductor's net in the Nets panel.
Delete Conductor delete Remove this conductor from the bundle entirely. References in wire groups and cable assignments are cleaned up, and any splice that drops below two conductors is automatically deleted.

Pins

Right-click on a component pin to access these actions. The context menu header shows the pin's designator and label (e.g., X1.3 or CB1.V_IN).

Action Icon Description
Disconnect "[Conductor]" link_off Remove a specific conductor from this pin. One entry per connected conductor.
Move "[Conductor]" submenu alt_route Reassign a conductor's pin connection. The submenu lists all component nodes with their pins. Behavior depends on whether the target pin is occupied:
  • Unoccupied pin — click to move the conductor directly to the new pin.
  • Occupied pin (shown with a dot indicator) — opens a sub-submenu with two choices:
    • Move Here — move this conductor to the pin, displacing the current occupant.
    • Swap — exchange pin assignments between the two conductors.
Move Mate submenu mate Reassign mate connection to a different pin on the same connector. Shown when pin has mate connections.
Add to / Remove from [Jumper Bar] Add this pin to (or remove it from) an existing jumper bar on the terminal block. Labels list each jumper bar by designator. Terminal-block pins only.
New Jumper jumper-bar Create a new jumper bar starting with this pin (or the selected pins). Terminal-block pins only.
Add Termination submenu mate Add a termination (ring terminal, ferrule, etc.) to this pin. Submenu lists termination types. Terminal-block pins only.
Show in Nets Panel device_hub Reveal this pin's net in the Nets panel. Shown when the pin has connections.
Disconnect All link_off Remove all conductors from this pin (shown when 2+ connections)

Device Groups

Right-click on a device group header to access these actions.

Action Icon Description
Select All Members select_all Select all components belonging to this device group
Add Selection to Group playlist_add Add currently selected nodes to this device group (shown when selection exists)
Set All to Size of submenu aspect_ratio Apply one member's dimensions to all other members (submenu lists members). Requires 2+ members.
Save to Library... save Save this device group configuration to the library for reuse
Save to File... sd_storage Export the device group to a file. Desktop app only.
Delete Group delete Remove the device group container (member components are preserved)

Visual Groups

Right-click on a visual group box to access these actions.

Action Icon Description
Delete Group delete Remove the visual group box. Member components are not affected. (Group name, color, and style are edited from the Properties panel, not this menu.)

Notes

Right-click on a plan note to access these actions.

Action Icon Description
Edit Note edit Open the note in the Properties panel for editing content, title, type, and class.
Copy to Clipboard content_copy Copy a connection-table note to the clipboard as TSV (for pasting into a spreadsheet). Connection-table notes only.
Fit to Contents width_normal Auto-size a connection-table note to fit its columns. Connection-table notes only.
Apply Columns to All Terminal / Connector Tables view_column Apply this connection table's column configuration to every other terminal (or connector) table note. Label varies with the table kind. Connection-table notes only.
Move to Page submenu article Move the note to another page. Shown when the plan has multiple pages.
Delete Note delete Remove the note from the canvas.

Plan Images

Right-click on a placed image to access these actions.

Action Icon Description
Replace Image… swap_horiz Swap the image file while keeping its position, size, and rotation.
Delete Image delete Remove the image from the canvas.

Multi-Selection

Right-click with 2 or more items selected to access these actions.

Action Icon Description
Copy content_copy Copy selected items to clipboard. Shortcut: Ctrl+C
Duplicate... content_copy Stamp multiple offset copies of the selection. Opens a count prompt with an option to preserve or auto-renumber designators. Shown when 1+ components are selected with no links in the selection.
Copy Layout dashboard_customize Copy the spatial arrangement (positions, orientations, routing) of the selected nodes. Shortcut: Ctrl+Alt+C
Apply Layout auto_fix_high Rearrange the selected nodes to match a previously copied layout. Shortcut: Ctrl+Alt+V
Bulk Connect to... link Connect all selected components to a target component by pin position
Add connection tables table_rows Drop a connection-table note for each selected component with pins.
Merge Branch Points call_merge Merge the selected branch points into one. Shown when 2+ connected branch points are selected.
Assign Part from BOM submenu inventory_2 Assign a BOM connector part to all selected components. Shown when all selected are non-flying-lead components and BOM has entries.
Change Category submenu category Switch category for all selected components. Connector option includes shape submenu. Shown when all selected are non-flying-lead components.
Set Color submenu Assign a color badge to all selected components. Shown when all selected are components.
Mating Behavior submenu settings_input_component Set mating rules for all selected components. Shown when all selected are non-flying-lead components.
Paste Properties content_paste Apply copied conductor properties to all selected conductors. Shown when conductors are selected and properties are on the clipboard.
Apply Signal Defaults auto_fix_high Apply each selected conductor's signal defaults (gauge, color, stripe, voltage). Shown when selected conductors have signal defaults.
Show as Labels label Switch all selected conductors to label display mode (stub + destination label). Schematic mode only, shown when conductors are selected.
Show as Wires horizontal_rule Switch all selected conductors back to full wire path rendering. Schematic mode only, shown when conductors are selected.
Set Conductor Properties submenu tune Set Gauge, Color, or Stripe for all selected conductors, or apply From Signal Defaults. Shown when conductors are selected.
Hide / Show Empty Rows visibility_off Collapse or reveal unconnected pin rows on the selected components. Schematic mode, components with pins.

Fit Selected to Content fit_screen Auto-size all selected components to fit their pins. Shown when components are selected.
Delete [N] Items delete Remove all selected nodes and bundles. Deletion cascades: removing a node also removes its connected bundles, and removing a bundle also removes its conductors, wire groups, cable assignments, and splices. Shortcut: Del
Align submenu align_horizontal_left Six options: Left, Center Horizontal, Right, Top, Center Vertical, Bottom. Plus Align to Rows when all selected are mated terminations. Requires 2+ nodes.
Distribute submenu space_bar Horizontal (Even), Vertical (Even), plus custom spacing options. Requires 3+ nodes.
Redesignate... label Rename and renumber selected components using bulk dialog
Set All to Size of submenu aspect_ratio Apply one member's dimensions to all selected (submenu lists members). Requires 2+ components.
Create Device Group workspaces Group selected components into a new device group. Requires 2+ nodes.
Create Visual Group crop_free Draw a visual group box around selected nodes. Requires 2+ nodes.
Create Assembly cable Package the selected components and connections as a reusable cable assembly. Shown when the selection can be assembled.
Save Subassembly to Library... save_alt Save the selection as a reusable subassembly template in the library.
Save Subassembly to File... sd_storage Export the selection as a subassembly file. Desktop app only.
Align Labels submenu format_line_spacing Align bundle label positions: To Start, To Center, To End, or Match First. Requires 2+ bundles selected, layout mode only.
Consolidate Bundles compress Consolidate selected bundles into a trunk structure. Requires 2+ selected bundles. See Bundle Operations for details.
Add Covering submenu layers Add a covering (loom, sleeve, tape, etc.) to selected bundles. Requires 1+ bundles selected, layout mode only.
Set Color submenu Assign a custom sheath color to all selected bundles at once. Pick from the palette or clear to return to the default gray. Requires 1+ bundles selected, layout mode only. (This is the bundle Set Color; the component Set Color above tints the icon badge.)

Canvas Background

Right-click on empty canvas space to access these actions. Use C to add a component and B to add a branch point.

Action Icon Description
Selection Filter submenu filter_alt Limit what box/marquee selection picks up. Toggle entity types — connectors, branch points & splices, bundles or conductors, notes, images. The available types follow the current view (layout vs schematic), and clicking individual elements is never filtered. The funnel highlights and shows how many types are hidden while active. Use Deselect All Types to clear every type quickly (then pick one), or Select All Types to restore.

Fit All Components to Content aspect_ratio Auto-size every component to fit its pins. Shown when components exist.
Arrange submenu auto_fix_high Shown when components exist. Contains: Auto-Arrange (layered graph layout minimizing edge crossings), Inform from Layout / Inform from Schematic (copy positions from the other view mode, adjusting for pin panel height differences).
Align All Mates to Rows align-to-pins Align every mated connector to its row on the hub connector. Shown when mates exist.
Display submenu tune Display preferences — saved with the design. Contains: New Connections (toggle Wire/Label default for new conductors), Default Termination (default termination type for new ends); layout checkboxesLabels, Bundles, Conductors, plus Reset All to Global; schematicEmpty Rows (hide unconnected pins), Cross-Page Stubs, Show All as Labels, Show All as Wires, Reset All Label Positions. Checkbox toggles keep the menu open on click.
Maintenance submenu build Contains: Clean Up Unassigned (remove unconnected conductors, shown when they exist), Delete Empty Bundles (remove bundles with zero conductors, shown when they exist), Repair Plan Data (fix broken paths, stubs, duplicates), Design Rule Check (run DRC rules).
Reset Positions submenu restart_alt Reset schematic positioning. Contains: Reset All Trunk Positions and Reset All Jogs (shown when jog offsets exist). Schematic mode only. (Reset All Label Positions lives in the Display submenu.)
Routing submenu alt_route Bulk routing actions for all bundles. Layout mode only. Each row defaults to the current page when clicked; the All Pages badge runs the same action across every page. Contains:
  • Clear Waypoints — remove hand-placed control points; preserves exit sides, bends, endpoints, and path style. Shown when waypoints exist.
  • Auto-pick Exit Sides — assign left or right to every bundle based on the other endpoint's horizontal position. Never picks top or bottom — drag the bend handle past a component's top/bottom edge for those. Mated terminations exit opposite their mate. Clears bend customizations.
  • Auto Route — clear waypoints, exit sides, bends, and custom endpoints so every bundle falls back to default routing. Preserves the path style choice (orthogonal/bezier/straight). Shown when any routing customization exists.
Clear Canvas delete_sweep Remove all elements from the canvas (destructive, confirms first)
